String Quartet
The opera composer Giacomo Puccini also wrote instrumental music - for example his string quartet Crisantemi. Hugo Wolf was also an opera fan, whose Italian Serenade is a childhood memory of melodies from the Italian bel canto. The programme features members of the Philharmonia Zurich Keisuke Okazaki (violin), Yuko Arakaki (violin), Louis Chaintreuil (viola) and Seiji Yokota (cello).
