Workshop «What is Choreography?»
Winter holidays course for 12- to 18-year-olds
CREATE YOUR OWN DANCE PIECE
Choreography literally means «writing dance », but how does it actually work? What is important for choreographing? Dance can be abstract, or it can tell stories. In this course, we want to look at how we can create characters and tell stories using movement and dance. In addition, we’ll have the opportunity to observe the work of the Ballett Zürich up close, before attending a performance of the ballet Dornröschen at the Opernhaus. In the course of the week, will we work on our own short choreographies, either in small groups or individually, which will then be performed for friends and relatives at the end of the workshop.
