How free is art in Russia?
Podium discussion on the case of Serebrennikov
Russian director Kirill Serebrennikov has been under house arrest in Moscow for over a year. He is accused of embezzling state funds. Serebrennikov is the director of our new production of Mozart's Così fan tutte. His concept is now being implemented by his co-director Evgeny Kulagin in Zurich. The Serebrennikov case has made international waves. In a podium discussion on the topic «How free is art in Russia?» we will discuss with Marina Davydova (theatre critic and festival director from Moscow), Ulrich Schmid (professor of Russian culture and society) and Mikhail Shishkin (writer).
