Fairy Tales on the Musical Carpet «Tomte Tummetott»
Storybook by Astrid Lindgren, illustrations by Harald Widberg
with music by Edvard Grieg
For children 4 years and older, only with adult accompaniment
In the long Swedish winter, when night falls on a lonely farm, Tomte Tummetott comes to guard over the freezing animals, whispering comforting words into their ears. Mikkel, the hungry fox, creeps around the house on the quietest of paws, hungry for the frightened chickens. Tomte protects them, but also makes sure that nobody stays hungry – not even the fox.
This series is designed for our youngest visitors. Actors tell stories from children’s books. Opera singers and instrumentalists bring stories to life with their voices and musical instruments. Children can participate and are in close proximity to the artists.
