The Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón is an artist with many facets. In the near future he will not only be heard as Pelléas at the Berlin Staatsoper and with numerous recitals, but will also stage Rameau's Platée at the Semperoper Dresden. At the Opernhaus Zürich, where he was celebrated as Alfredo (La traviata) and Alessandro (Il re pastore) among others, he can be experienced on the 1st of May with a beautiful song recital. Together with the pianist Carrie-Ann Matheson he will interpret «Folk Songs from the New and the Old World» by de Falla, Mompou, Obradors and others.
