Abstract
Song recital Juan Diego Floréz
He is one of the best opera singers in the world and has been for over 20 years: With his magical voice, virtuosity and stupendous high notes, the tenor Juan Diego Flórez is an exceptional figure in the operatic firmament. He appears regularly at the great opera houses such as the Met or La Scala and is a loyal guest at the Zurich Opera House, whether with roles in the Italian repertoire – or in the French as the celebrated Werther in Massenet's opera of the same name. Now he can be heard together with his longtime accompanist Vincenzo Scalera in a song recital, with works by Gluck, Caccini and Carissimi, bel canto arias by Donizetti, Rossini and Bellini, but also more dramatic arias from Verdi's «I due Foscari» and Puccini's «Le Villi».
