Two movies at Sechseläutenplatz
Last year, we already practised with a movie night featuring La La Land and Florence Foster Jenkins, this time we're getting serious and celebrate kino für alle. The evening before oper für alle, two movies will be shown on Sechseläutenplatz, on the big screen and for free. You decide which films these are: we have compiled a longlist of 38 films with references to opera, ballet or music, which can be supplemented at a later date with ideas from you, dear audience. From this longlist, a jury consisting of the Swiss film composer Mirjam Skal, the Artistic Director of the Zurich Film Festival Christian Jungen and our Artistic Director Andreas Homoki will make a shortlist of 6 to 8 films. We will then put these films to a public vote and thus back into your hands. The two winning movies will finally flicker across our big screen on Friday evening, 14 June 2024 and offer the ideal opportunity for a summer picnic with your favourite people!
