taZ - Curtain Up! Zurich Dance Academy as Guest
The annual summer performances are a highlight of the school year for all students at the Zurich Dance Academy. They will perform a varied and ambitious programme showcasing classical and contemporary works at the Kurtheater Baden and at Opernhaus Zürich.
taZ students will perform excerpts from the ballets A Folk Tale by August Bournonville and Scotch Symphony by George Balanchine, as well as five contemporary works created by the internationally renowned choreographers Altea Nunez, Ihsan Rustem, Brian Scalini, Neel Verdoorn and Roberta Martins. A pas de deux from Hamlet by the director of the Zurich Ballet, Cathy Marston, will also be presented.
Parts of the proceeds from ticket sales will go to support the taZ scholarship fund.
