Family Workshops «Odyssee»

For children 7 years and older, with adult accompaniment

Odysseus’ journey home over the seas was full of breathtaking and dangerous adventure. Composer Leonard Evers sets selected excerpts from Homer’s epic poem to music. This is an «Odyssey» for the whole family.

The beloved workshops for families with children aged 7 and older offer an afternoon full of adventure at the Opernhaus in preparation for attendance at a performance. Parents and children engage with the themes and characters awaiting them – through play, song, and dance – and get sneak previews of the performance. They’ll meet singers, dancers, and musicians, and, in addition to learning about the piece, will discover how much fun singing, dancing, and playing can be.
