The start of a new season at the Opernhaus always brings with it a sense of anticipation, discovery and an outpouring of energy.
We would like to share this unique moment with you and would like to invite you to the opening party! Throughout the day, we will give you a glimpse behind the scenes and present a variety-packed program on our stages, in the ballet halls, as well as in the workshops and foyers. Weather permitting, you can also look forward to a rich program on Sechseläutenplatz.
This year's highlights include a concert by the 300-strong opening choir, a costume show, numerous children's and chamber music concerts, the open workshops, ballet training for all and Let's dance! as well as public rehearsals of Clara, Lucia di Lammermoor and Beethoven's Eroica.
It’s a festive day for the whole family – for children, young people and adults, as well as seasoned opera and ballet fans and newcomers alike.
