Introductory Matinee Timekeepers

The «golden» 1920s have gone down in history as a time of euphoric cultural and technical awakening. Three works by Igor Stravinsky, George Antheil and George Gershwin that premiered a hundred years ago bear witness to this. They place the piano prominently at the centre and form the musical heart of the new ballet evening Timekeepers. In the matinee, dramaturge Michael Küster talks to the Australian choreography legend Meryl Tankard and the young South African choreographer Mthuthuzeli November. Other guests include Nijinska specialist Christopher Saunders and ballet director Cathy Marston.

The majority of the matinee will be held in English.
