Eine Frau, die weiss, was sie will!
The Komische Oper Berlin is to give guest performances of its celebrated cult production in Zurich – for 20 different roles, 2 performers! Dagmar Manzel as the operetta diva Manon Cavallini plays both her admirer Raoul Severac and the father of her daughter, Lucy. To top it all, Max Hopp – as Cavallini’s daughter, Lucy – plays all of the singer’s five lovers as well as a friend of Lucy’s family! A racy, breathless tour de force, fired by the orchestra under Adam Benzwi with a stunning firework display of brisk marches, stormy waltzes and incomparable chansons penned by Oscar Straus.
