Do I need to buy a ticket?

No, the square is freely accessible and the event is free of charge.

When does the performance start?

On Friday, 10 June, the performance begins at 7.30 pm. Harald Schmidt will give an introduction to the opera, followed by a screening of Der fliegende Holländer at 8 pm. 

On Saturday, 11 June, the live broadcast of Dornröschen begins at 8.00 pm. From 6.00 p.m. Kurt Aeschbacher and Tama Vakeesan will lead a live backstage tour and talk to the artists.

When should I arrive?

We recommend that you arrive early. Experience shows that the square fills up in the afternoon and delays in public transport are to be expected.

Is there catering available on site?

Yes, the Bernadette Restaurant offers drinks, grilled food and other delicacies on site. On Friday, the drinks and food stalls open at 6pm, on Saturday at 4pm.

Can I bring my own food and drinks?

Yes, you may still bring your own food and drinks.

Will the «ballett für alle» folding chairs be sold on site again?

Yes, those who do not wish to bring their own seating can purchase a folding chair on site for CHF 20. The chair sales will start at 6.30pm on Friday and 5pm on Saturday.

Are there toilets on site?

Yes, free toilets are provided on site.
